There are several different types of History classes here at EHS, this page will help give you a description an idea of which class teaches what for each grade level from 9th through 12th.


Pac. Rim is a freshman class. This class focuses on the geography and overall lay out of the world. The class looks at the world one region at a

time until and memorizes the major mountain ranges, countries that make up each region and the different climates that each part of the region

has. This class involves a lot of mapping and memorization. This class is requires to graduate.


Pac. Rim:

American Culture:

World History is a Sophomore class. In this class the students learn about the history of the world, usually starting with the ancient greeks

period of time. The students look at the major leaders and forms of government in the early years of the world. This class will focus on learning

about the major conflicts that effected the world back then and the cause of them, along with what the political leaders did about them. This

class is required to graduate.


World History:

American Culture is a Junior class. American Culture teaches the students what defines American culture and what has effected it  and shaped


it into what we know today. The students are taught this through looking at and analyzing music, technology, government, American art and


literature, and the important people from civil war times up to the present day. Students must take some type of American History class to


graduate.

American Government:

American/U.S History:

U.S./ American History is a Junior Class that consists of a summary of the History of the United States from the Civil War times up to the

modern times. A U.S. History class is required for graduation. This class covers the History os the United States from about 1877 through the

1980’s.


A.P U.S History:

American Government is a class that covers all the important details of the government. The students are taught about each branch of the


government and what it does. This class covers all of the important details involving the presidency, the constitution, and the bill of rights. All


students are required to have an American History credit to graduate.
