Quote from the Editor:

“The written word is weak. Writing is mere writing, literature is mere literature. The writing that we do, that so thrills us, that so racks and exhilarates us, as if we were dancing next to a band, is barely audible to anyone else. The reader’s ear must adjust down from loud life to the subtle, imaginary sounds of written work. As journalists, are jobs are to get you to pay attention. This year I feel as though there is more focus on the newspaper, which is exciting to me. I hope that the Cruiser News Staff has appealed to your senses as you read what we put out for the student body this year.”
